On November 29, 2024, YUMA released their debut EP Marrow. The band celebrated this release with over 200 fans at Charlatan in Ghent. After the release show, they are ready to present the EP to a wider audience.

Marrow is an introspective journey through life's challenges and the hopeful search for inner strength. The title symbolizes the quest for what nourishes, strengthens, and renews us. It reflects on how we can reconnect with ourselves in a world full of uncertainty.

This EP, consisting of five tracks, is a harmony of singer-songwriter sensitivity, indie rock energy, and ambient soundscapes. YUMA explores themes such as introspection, trust that everything will be okay, and the realization that answers are often closer than we think.

The songs start gently and build into immersive climaxes where synthesizers elevate emotions to new heights. Marrow was recorded at Studio Beertje (formerly Robot Studios) with producer Brecht Plasschaert (Yurt). Each band member contributes uniquely to YUMA’s signature sound: a fusion of dreamy melodies, powerful vocals, and enchanting ambient layers.

Previous singles Heartbeat, I Don’t Need To Know, and Kid Gloves already introduced YUMA’s emotional world. With two new songs, Lack of Myself and Breathe, the EP is now complete. Breathe, in particular, a high-energy closer, showcases the band’s strength and dynamism.

Marrow creates a moment of renewal—an invitation to let go of everything and lose yourself in a world full of unspoken desires and emotions.

YUMA aims to build a genuine connection with their listeners. That’s why they launched a WhatsApp community, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look into the band’s journey. Fans were even invited to an exclusive listening session where they could hear the EP before its official release, together with the band members.
